Dear Zoo

I had forgotten to update you on our recent trip to the zoo. The book "Dear Zoo" is Jamie's favourite. He loves the little zoo animals in their lift-the-flap containers. So it came as no surprise that he ADORED his first zoo trip. In fact, he loved it so much that I decided to take him again yesterday.

My sister and her family decided to take a day trip to Monarto Zoo, about an hour from Adelaide. It's a free-range zoo and I thought it would be ideal for Jamie. We took a safari bus trip around the zoo and he was wide-eyed the entire day. Zebras, camels, giraffes, rhinoceroses, cheetas, kangaroos etc etc. There was too much happening for him to sleep. He crashed on the way home in the car.

So cute.

It's a busy week this week. We've all had gastro over the long weekend. Thankfully we got better just in time to catch up with Tatum on Tuesday morning. Jamie had a great time playing with Charlotte, Lillian and Sebastian at the local playcafe. It was so great to meet another scrapbooker who, until then, I'd only ever chatted to online. The morning flew by and before we knew it, it was time to head home and get ready for my sister and her family to arrive for lunch.

Jamie's cousins love him! They follow him around and try to pick him up, they play ball with him.. basically they occupy him, which is just wonderful in my books, lol!

I'm at work for the next couple of days and then get to spend another couple of days with them before they fly back to Perth on the weekend. Sob!

Hope everyone's having a great week.

Hi Kathie,
My kids love both zoos as well, did you know if you join as a annual member as a family for us it works out we only have to go to adelaide zoo and monarto zoo once in the year and we have our money back so every time after that we go for free as a bonus!!here is the link if you are intrested http://www.adelaidezoo.com.au/getinvolved/membershipinfo.php, Jamie would be free until he is 4 so you only have to pay for 1 or 2 adults!

So glad some fun things have been happening for you lately.

What bad luck to have had gastro on the long week end (or at any time really).

Keep safe and well and have a terrific week ahead.
