Fly a Kite

Issue 11(9) of Scrapbooking Memories was the special "PINK" issue. The Masters were invited to create a beyond-the-page item of their own choosing, that could be displayed to give thoughts of inspiration and hope. We were given complete free reign with the products we could use, as well as with the type of project.

I made this little canvas:
I had such fun making this. I created a background with loads of layers - text papers, loads of paints, stamping, rubons, then created my scene with fabric, hessian, chipboard and floral elements. The kite floats off the top of the canvas, as if it's going to float off into the sky...

I had such fun making this. Oh, but I already said that didn't I, lol? My ability to just play, with no restrictions, has been pretty minimal this year. Ninety-nine percent of my time I've had product restrictions, so it was lovely to just relax and do whatever took my fancy.

The little figure is a photograph of Jamie that I printed in black and white on inkjet paper. Love how it turned out. I think that I will be making more little scenes like this :).
