The kids had great fun splashing around in the wading pool, and running through the sprinkler (shhh... is that allowed now with the relaxed water restrictions???). Ah, I do love a sprinkler going in the evening. It's "the" sound of summer to me! I have so missed that sound during our long long drought here in Australia. We had severe water restrictions in Adelaide and I have not heard a sprinkler for, ooh, three or more years. I am looking forward to relaxed restrictions and once again hearing the sound of summer on long lazy evenings outside :).
So, a layout to share.... this was in Scrapbooking Memories a couple of months ago. The photo was taken in Germany, when we were staying with friends in 2002. I love European architecture! We were planning a trip back to Germany in the middle of next year - but an unexpected turn of events has probably put paid to that. Sob! Phil and I do love visiting our friends and relatives in Deutschland. So, for the meantime I will just have to scrapbook my photos of our last trip:
Journaling: The view from the old church was simply breathtaking. We were with friends in Schwerin, a town in the north of Germany. They lived nearby and were showing us around. We had already visited the old castle that we could now see in the distance; had drunk coffee in the manicured gardens. As we gazed over the old buildings, our friends drew our attention to rows of houses being painstakingly renovated – bare grey cement walls, a legacy of the years the town had been part of East Germany, are being painted. Greyness is being replaced by fresh, pretty pastels. And it’s beautiful.Have a fun day. Another hot day here today, with possible thunderstorms. We are off to lunch at a friends. Enjoy your Sunday!

Amazing layout as usual, Kathie!
I know what you mean about the heat..I was such a gumble-bum the other day..so much nicer with the cool change!
If I remember right, I think you can use a sprinkler if it's for the purpose of cooling down the kids ;)
Have a great day,
Mina
