Journaling: Outside my window our maltese is playing on the grass in the sunshine. It's springtime and the days are getting warmer. I am hoping that the beautiful weather is here to stay. Jamie and I might walk down to the park later. I'm trying to get him more interested in riding his bike, so a fun destination is good motivation. And he loves the monkey bars. He has mastered them like nobody's business since he started school. It's amazing to see. Ah, I do love school holidays. Outings, trips to visit friends and time together.
I've used Tattered Angels' Nut Hollow Spring/Summer paint system to colour the canvas ribbons and flowers on my page. I love these paint systems. Little pots of beautifully coordinating colour :).
I started off with plain kraft cardstock and raw fabric ribbons, flowers and stickers. Then I went to town with my acrylic paints, the Tattered Angels products, Tim Holtz distress inks and walnut ink.
The page was inspired by a meme I've seen on a few people's blogs recently. Here it is:
Outside my window... our dog playing on the grass in the morning sunshine.
I am thinking... that Jamie and I might walk down to the park later
I am thankful for... school holidays and not having to rush in the mornings.
I am wearing... knit mini skirt, tights, black boots, black biker jacket
I am going to... empty the dishwasher.
I am currently reading... Nelson DeMille’s The Gatehouse
I am hoping... that this sunny weather is here to stay. Yipee, it’s spring!
On my mind... our plans for today fell through because friends are not well. What to do; what to do. Shall I take Jamie for a bike ride to the park?
From the kitchen... coffee from my new single cup coffee plunger
Around the house... cardboard boxes. Jamie loves creating with them, but they are an eyesore!
One of my favorite things... my new Fossil tote bag
A few plans for the rest of the week... It’s school holidays – I’m working for a few days, and the other days we are catching up with friends and going on playdates.
One photo to share... Jak on the back lawn
